Community becomes a prophetic sign to the world when its members cultivate a solid spirituality of communion, serving God in everything and everything in God. “The church wishes to hold up before the world the examples of community in which solitude is overcome through concern for one another, in communication inspires in every one a sense of shared responsibility, and in which wounds are healed through forgiveness, and each person’s commitment to communion is strengthened “(VC. 45).

According to Vatican II, a community gathered together is a true family in the Lord enjoying His presence through the love of God which is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit (Rom5: 5).

Like the Apostles, they too have left everything behind in order to be with Christ and to put themselves, as he did, at the service of God and their brothers and sisters. In this way, through the many charisms of spiritual and apostolic life bestowed on them by the Holy Spirit, they have helped to make the mystery and mission of the Church shine forth, and in doing so have contributed to the renewal of society” (Vita Consecrata .Art 1)

Religious life itself is a quest for God – in community. No human beings live alone. In religious life we enter into a group consciously drawn by its ideals an inspirational character, and by what our heart is seeking. It is not based on mutual attachment but on a shared mission.
